Lights that are automatically associated in this manner take the name of the position in their attached info. Lights interact with positions when their symbol is drawn intersecting a position's line.

The default height is also used for any lights that are not associated with a position. When no position is selected, the position tab shows the default height that will be entered for newly drawn positions. There is no difference between an unmapped position and a mapped one that has been set to "As Drawn". "Map to As Drawn" simply sets the mapped x and y coordinates to those of the start and end points as they are drawn and the height for both map points will be the height of the position. "Map to Vertical at Next Click" is similar to "Map Vertical at End" except the x,y location is chosen with the next click on the plot (esc cancels). The start point's height is the length of the position above the end point. Otherwise, the end point's height is mapped to the beam plane. If the position is already mapped, the end height value is retained. The end point is mapped to its current location. "Map to Vertical at End" places the mapped location of the start point above that of the end point. The popup menu contains shortcuts to setting these values. The locations of symbols belonging to the position will also be mapped by interpolating their drawn location with respect to the position's drawn start and end points. You can set a position's Map Start X, Map Start Y, Map Start Z, Map End X, Map End Y, and Map End Z properties to any values. The 3D locations for mapping the start and end points are found in the position's info. Positions can be mapped to locations other than where they are drawn when the "Map Points" box is checked. Click on the Sign icon and make an e-signature. Add the date to the document using the Date feature.
